If ever in her shoes, would you spend your precious time doing a front row appearance at London Fashion Week? Well, maybe yes, but not exactly with her glow. Damn... she looks like 30 years younger. I would dare to say she even overshadows Anna Wintour. And that's a very difficult task...
This happened during the last day of London Fashion Week at the Richard Quinn show, and Her Majesty the Queen flanked between British Fashion Council Chief Executive Caroline Rush and Anna Wintour. She appeared with a shimmery light blue skirt suit, black gloves, black purse and pearls, all that by the amazing Angela Kelly, her designer for 10 years.
She was there to present the first-ever Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design, which was created to recognize "the role the fashion industry plays in society & diplomacy," (as was announced by the Buckingham Palace). From now on, an up-and-coming designer will be honored for showing "talent and originality, whilst demonstrating value to the community and/or sustainable policies.". This year, London-born designer Richard Quinn took home the prize. And what an honour!...
