Kate Middleton has become famed for her candid photos taken of the royal family and their inner circle. There are a lot of sweet royal family photos captured by Kate herself and we all have seen them through the years... so my question is why only now the world decide to analyze the only photo and the most recent one released after we found out about Kate's health?
Kate may be one of the most famous faces in the world, but before she is a Princess, Kate is a mother. And just like any regular parent, she enjoys taking sweet snaps of her family — especially her children — to capture those special moments. Does she (or someone for her) use a little bit of photoshop on them? Who cares?... There's a line between inquiry and mockery and a lot of people crossed it. Woud the world, celebrities, tv shows, newspapers and magazenes have mockered with the situation if Queen Elizabeth II was alive? At least, we have never seen something like this in those days... RESPECT is a very pretty word and a lot of people seems to have forgot it when talking about the royal family.

A minha questão é: porque só agora o mundo decidiu analisar a única foto e a mais recente divulgada depois que ficámos a saber da condição de saúde de Kate?
Kate pode ser um dos rostos mais famosos do mundo, mas antes de ser princesa, Kate é mãe. E, assim como qualquer pai normal, ela gosta de tirar fotos fofas da família - especialmente dos filhos - para captar aqueles momentos especiais. Ela (ou alguém por ela) usa um pouco de photoshop nelas? O que é que isso importa?... Existe uma linha entre a investigação e a onda de gozo que se formou à volta deste assunto, e muita gente ultrapassou-a. O mundo, celebridades, programas de TV, jornais e revistas teriam brincado com a situação se a Rainha Elizabeth II ainda estivesse viva? Pelo menos nunca assistimos a nada semelhante naquela época... RESPEITO é uma palavra muito bonita e muita gente parece tê-la esquecido quando fala da família real.
After the Princess’s Mother’s Day editing controversy, and all the crazyness around it, those 'photography experts gurus' decided to analyse some old royal family photos... Another Photoshop fail? Kate Middleton’s photograph showing Queen Elizabeth surrounded by grandchildren and great-grandchildren was ‘digitally manipulated’, a photo agency claims.
The picture was taken at Balmoral in August 2022, weeks before the Queen's death and released on what would have been her 97th birthday last year. However now the image has been reviewed by Getty Images, with experts saying it was altered. A spokesman for Getty told The Telegraph: ‘Getty Images has reviewed the image in question and placed an editor’s note on it, stating that the image has been digitally enhanced at source.’
Meanwhile a note has been added to the website X, formerly known as Twitter, clarifying the image appears to have been manipulated, ‘This image appears to have been digitally altered to give the impression that everyone within it was present at the same time. It is not a photograph of a moment, rather a collage of moments put together to create an illusion of a photograph.’ This includes claims of a vertical line where the tartan of the late Queen’s skirt does not match, a dark shadow behind Louis's ear, a striped blurring around the edge of the sofa, and so on...
Depois da polémica com a edição da foto do Dia das Mães publicada pela Princesa e de toda a loucura em torno disso, os 'gurus especialistas em fotografia' decidiram analisar algumas fotos antigas da família real... Mais um erro de Photoshop? Pelo menos é o que afirma uma agência fotográfica em relação a uma fotografia de Kate Middleton que mostra a Rainha Elizabeth II rodeada pelos netos e bisnetos, e acusa-a de estar “manipulada digitalmente”.
A foto foi tirada em Balmoral em agosto de 2022, semanas antes da morte da Rainha e divulgada no que teria sido o seu 97º aniversário no ano passado. No entanto, agora a imagem foi investigada pela Getty Images, com especialistas a afirmar que ela terá sido alterada. Um porta-voz da Getty disse ao The Telegraph: “A Getty Images analisou a imagem em questão e colocou uma nota do editor , afirmando que a imagem foi aprimorada digitalmente na fonte”.
Enquanto isso, uma nota foi adicionada ao site X, anteriormente conhecido como Twitter, esclarecendo que a imagem parece ter sido manipulada: “Esta imagem parece ter sido alterada digitalmente para dar a impressão de que todos dentro dela estavam presentes ao mesmo tempo. Não é uma fotografia de um momento, mas sim uma colagem de momentos reunidos para criar a ilusão de uma fotografia." As supostas alterações incluem uma linha vertical onde o xadrez da saia da falecida Rainha não combina, uma sombra escura atrás da orelha de Louis, umas riscas desfocadas na borda do sofá e outras tantas...
The picture agencies are now investigating two other photographs, including Prince Archie's official christening picture.
But, I mean, does this really matters so much? Did that hurt someone? In times where Artificial Inteligence seems to be 'the thing', the trend, are we really questioning if the Princess does Photoshop on her photos to enhance them?! How many years do magazines use Photoshop on their covers and fashion productions? Did the world stop buying it? I don't think so... Now, imagine what this crap has made in the life of someone with an health problem?
From the peddling of hurtful conspiracy theories to the propagation of unsubstantiated lies, the keyboard warriors have inflicted an unnecessary amount of suffering on a woman now undergoing chemotherapy after a major operation.
And as it was not enough, China Russia and Iran are apparently fuelling disinformation about the Princess of Wales to destabilise the nation. Senior Government figures fear that hostile states are behind the spread of wild conspiracy theories and online rumours surrounding the Princess's health. A government source said: "Part of the modus operandi of hostile states es to distabilise things" (Telegraph).
So... better not believe in everything is out there! And remember: there is no greater contrast than that between the dignified Princess and sickening online trolls.
This is serious, unprecedented days happening to the royal family, but its not permanent. It shows the vulnerability of the royal family, but it also keeps them closer end stronger.
While many are speculating about Kate whereabouts on social media, only a minority of Britons (8%) think the royal family has released too little information about her health. Half of the public say the right amount of information has been given to the public .

Agora, imaginem o que tudo isto tem feito na vida de alguém com um problema de saúde?
Desde a venda de teorias da conspiração prejudiciais à propagação de mentiras infundadas pelos 'guerreiros do teclado' que infligiram uma quantidade desnecessária de sofrimento a uma mulher que agora se submete a quimioterapia após uma séria operação.
E como se não bastasse, a China, a Rússia e o Irão estão aparentemente a alimentar a desinformação sobre a Princesa de Gales para desestabilizar a nação. Figuras importantes do governo temem que estados hostis estejam por detrás da disseminação de teorias de conspiração selvagens e rumores online em torno da saúde da princesa. Uma fonte governamental disse: “Parte do modus operandi dos estados hostis é desestabilizar as coisas” (Telegraph).
Assim sendo... o melhor é não acreditarem em tudo o que por aí anda! E lembrem-se: não há contraste maior do que aquele entre a digna Princesa e os repugnantes trolls online.
São dias sérios e sem precedentes que a família real está a viver, mas não são permanentes. Eles mostram a vulnerabilidade da família real, mas também os mantêm mais unidos e fortes.

The survey from pollster Ipsos had Kate as the most popular royal, with 38% of the 1,085 respondents in Britain ranking her as their No. 1.
