A day-by-day guide to Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee weekend.
DAY 1 (2 June)
- TROOPING THE COLOUR
This is expected to be watched by Her Majesty and members of the Royal Family from the Buckingham Palace balcony. Reportedly, over 1,400 parading soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians will come together in the parade to mark the Queen's official birthday. The parade will start at Buckingham Palace and move down along The Mall to the Horse Guards Parade, where it shall be joined by several members of the Royal Family on horseback and in carriages. The parade will conclude with the traditional RAF fly-past.

- THE PLATINUM JUBILEE BEACONS
In commemoration of the monarch’s 70 years on the throne, over 1,500 beacons will be lit by communities and charities throughout the United Kingdom. There will also be a Principal Beacon at Buckingham Palace, lit on this day during a formal ceremony.
DAY 2 (3 June)
- SERVICE OF THANKSGIVING AT ST. PAUL'S CATHEDRAL
A Service of Thanksgiving for the Queen’s reign will be held at St Paul’s Cathedral during the Friday morning. The invite-only event is expected to be attended by a large number of the Royal Family, as well as notable guests.
DAY 3 (4 June)
THE DERBY AT EPSOM DOWNS (not in London)
Her Majesty the Queen, accompanied by other members of the Royal Family, is hoping to attend the Derby at Epsom Downs, along with members of the public. The Saturday event, otherwise known as Derby Day, is an annual racing fixture that has in past years included many of the Queen’s thoroughbreds. Her Majesty has attended the event regularly throughout her lifetime, although it is not yet confirmed whether she will be in present this year.
- PLATINUM PARTY AT THE PALACE
This is a music concert that will be held at Buckingham Palace on Saturday evening. Sir Elton John, Robbie Williams and Stevie Wonder performed at the Diamond Jubilee concert in 2012.
DAY 4 (5 June)
- THE BIG LUNCH
Lunches are to be held across the nation in honour of the occasion, with friends and family coming together for the historic event.
- THE PLATINUM JUBILEE PAGEANT
The procession will begin at Buckingham Palace and progress for half a mile along The Mall.
The first act will start with the bells of Westminster Abbey being peeled as they were on the day of the Queen's coronation in 1953, before a 1,750-strong military parade will march.
The second act, which will feature 150 ‘national treasures’, including Ed Sheeran, Jeremy Irons and Bill Bailey, will aim to highlight how British and Commonwealth creativity and culture has evolved throughout the Queen's reign. No less than 250 National Treasures are also taking part, prominent Britons from the past seven decades, from icons of high culture to those of mass TV and popular culture. They’re all there, from Ed Sheeran to Kate Moss, Dame Joan Collins to Jilly Cooper, Sir Cliff Richard to Nandi Bushell, Sir Tim Berners Lee to Dame Twiggy. The royal box is capable of holding the full troupe, and the Pageant will be watched by close to a billion people across the world, via the BBC and all digital channels.The 1.5-kilometre procession will encompass 2,500 volunteers and members of the public and attempt to showcase defining moments of music trends, dance styles and fashion that have ‘defined the decades’.
The third act will be a 12-part play highlighting ‘key moments’ of the Queen's life, as well as her personal interests. Among the memorable highlights that will be featured are Her Majesty's marriage to her late husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, as well as her coronation. It will also feature her love of animals with horses and corgis taking some ‘central roles’.

- PLATINUM JUBILEE PAGEANT
Em comemoração aos 70 anos da monarca no trono, mais de 1.500 archotes serão acendidos por comunidades e instituições de caridade em todo o Reino Unido. Haverá também um Archote Principal no Palácio de Buckingham, aceso neste dia durante uma cerimónia formal.
DIA 2 (3 de junho)
- SERVIÇO DE AÇÃO DE GRAÇAS NA ST. PAULS CATHEDRAL
Um serviço de ação de graças pelo reinado da rainha será realizado na Catedral de São Paulo durante a manhã de sexta-feira. Espera-se que o evento apenas para convidados tenha a participação de um grande número da Família Real, além de convidados notáveis.
DIA 3 (4 de junho)
- O DERBY EM EPSOM DOWNS (não em Londres)
Sua Majestade a Rainha, acompanhada por outros membros da Família Real, espera participar do Derby em Epsom Downs. O evento de sábado, também conhecido como Derby Day, é um evento anual de corrida que nos últimos anos incluiu muitos dos puros-sangues da rainha. Sua Majestade tem participado regularmente do evento ao longo da sua vida, embora ainda não esteja confirmado se ela estará presente este ano.

O terceiro acto será uma peça de 12 partes, destacando os "momentos-chave" da vida da rainha, bem como os seus interesses pessoais. Entre os destaques memoráveis que serão apresentados estão o casamento de Sua Majestade com o seu falecido marido, o Duque de Edimburgo, bem como a sua coroação. Também contará com a sua adoração por animais com cavalos e corgis assumindo alguns “papéis centrais”.

QUEEN-THEMED EXHIBITIONS AND MORE...
- Pop into the Imperial War Museum for its landmark new exhibition, ‘Crown and Conflict: Portraits of a Queen in Wartime’. It will trace the monarch’s personal experience of war through film, photography and poignant artefacts.

- Check out an exhibition dedicated to Mary Gillick, the sculptor who modelled the Queen’s head for the 1953 coinage. It includes large-scale plaster models of Gillick’s portrait of the Queen and documents relating to the new coins.

- Peruse a selection of royal memorabilia at Sir John Soane’s Museum in Holborn. It will feature items on loan from the public, so expect to see at least one Charles and Diana wedding mug.

- Watch 50 hot air balloons float across London for the Queen’s Jubilee. 50 giant balloons will be launched heavenwards as part of the Lord Mayor’s Hot Air Balloon Regatta on Saturday June 5 as part of the celebrations for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend. The balloons will be launched from Battersea Park and head east over some of the city’s most iconic sights: Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, Tower Bridge and the Tower of London.

- Assista a 50 balões de ar quente flutuando por Londres para o Jubileu da Rainha. 50 balões gigantes serão lançados para o céu como parte da Regata de Balões de Ar Quente do Lord Mayor no sábado, 5 de junho, como parte das comemorações do fim de semana do Jubileu de Platina da Rainha. Os balões serão lançados de Battersea Park e seguirão para leste sobre alguns dos pontos turísticos mais emblemáticos da cidade: o Palácio de Buckingham, o Parlamento, o London Eye, a Tower Bridge e a Torre de Londres.
