If you walked around St Paul's Cathedral until the end of June, you may have noticed forty gold angels sitting on swings. They have been installed by KHBT and Ottmar Hörlwatch to watch over commuters near St Paul's Cathedral in London.
Named "Lunch Break", the installation for the London Festival of Architecture (LFA) is designed to be a temporary additional to St Paul's Plinth - the preexisting frame structure outside St Paul's tube station.
London studio KHBT and artist Ottmar Hörl's intention was to "celebrate what can happen at the creative boundary of art and architecture" in response to the festival theme - boundaries.
It is there to make people think and smile. And what a great idea! I would love to see this everyday... but unfortunatelly it was only there until de 30 of June.
Lucky for those who walked under the angels!
Se você andou pela Catedral de ST Paulo até o final de junho, deve ter notado quarenta anjos de ouro sentados em baloiços. Eles foram instalados pela KHBT e Ottmar Hörlwatch para vigiar os transeuntes perto da Catedral de St. Paul, em Londres.
Chamada de "Lunch Break", esta instalação para o Festival de Arquitetura de Londres (LFA) foi projetada para ser um extra temporário ao Plinth de St Paul - a estrutura pré-existente fora da estação de metro de St. Paul.
A intenção do estúdio londrino KHBT e do artista Ottmar Hörl foi a de "celebrar o que pode acontecer no limite criativo da arte e da arquitetura" em resposta ao tema do festival - limites.
Esteve ali para fazer as pessoas pensarem e sorrirem. E que ótima ideia! Eu adoraria ver isso todos os dias... mas infelizmente a instalação só esteve patente até 30 de junho.
