Many of us have never heard of this special snowman. In the UK it's a different story. This year, London was celebrating the 40th anniversary of this fantastic children's story created in 1978 by British illustrator Raymond Briggs.
He became, above all, known for this book specially designed for children and that has the peculiarity of not having any type of text, besides the title.
I did not know this story, but I was struck by the fact that there was a giant snowman on the front door of my favorite London bookstore, Waterstones, and that many other stores had the same doll in shop windows.
