And that's it... @sussexroyal, has come to an end. I mean the Instagram account of Harry and Meghan, which started back in the 2nd of April of 2019, with the message "Welcome to our official Instagram; we look forward to sharing the work that drives us, the causes we support, important announcements, and the opportunity to shine a light on key issues. We thank you for your support, and welcome you to @sussexroyal - Harry and Meghan".
The account came, almost one year after their wedding, and it was seen as the first split between the Sussexes and the Cambridges. As you may remember, Prince William and Harry divided the same account for years... @kensingtonroyal. Something that made sense cause they were brothers and they shared the same palace by the time.
At its time of launch, Meghan and Harry's Instagram broke the Guinness World Record for being the fastest new account to accrue 1 million followers, with a time of just 5 hours, 45 minutes. Until now, @sussexroyal has achieved 11,3 followers and published 216 posts.
The last one, like the first one, came with a message: "As we can all feel, the world at this moment seems extraordinarily fragile. Yet we are confident that every human being has the potential and opportunity to make a difference—as seen now across the globe, in our families, our communities and those on the front line—together we can lift each other up to realise the fullness of that promise. What’s most important right now is the health and wellbeing of everyone across the globe and finding solutions for the many issues that have presented themselves as a result of this pandemic. As we all find the part we are to play in this global shift and changing of habits, we are focusing this new chapter to understand how we can best contribute. While you may not see us here, the work continues. Thank you to this community - for the support, the inspiration and the shared commitment to the good in the world. A conta surgiu, quase um ano depois do casamento, e foi vista como a primeira separação entre os Sussex e os Cambridges. Como devem lembrar-se, os príncipes William e Harry dividiram a mesma conta ao longo de vários anos... @kensingtonroyal. Algo que fazia sentido já que ambos são irmãos e na altura dividiam o mesmo palácio.

After this, I decided to chose the best photos shared by them, some of them are already in the History. Those moments won't repeat ever again. Sadly or not... one thing is for sure, we won't be able to see a lot of this happen in the future. From Royal tours, to happy moments between the two brothers (Harry and William), or giggles between Meghan and the Queen, cute royal baby photos with Archie and cousins... and so on. Yes, maybe we'll still see the new family of three on the frontpages of international fashion magazines, Harry and Meghan making part of the Hollywood scene very soon... I have no doubts about that! But... nothing will ever be the same.
Depois disto, decidi escolher as melhores fotos partilhadas por eles, algumas delas já fazem parte da História. Esses momentos não se voltarão a repetir nunca mais. Infelizmente ou não... uma coisa é certa, não veremos muitas destas situações acontecerem no futuro. Desde visitas reais, a momentos felizes entre os dois irmãos (Harry e William) ou a gargalhadas entre Meghan e a rainha, fotos fofas de bebés reais com Archie e os primos... e assim por diante. Sim, talvez continuemos a ver a recém família de três nas primeiras páginas das revistas de moda internacionais, Harry e Meghan integrados no mundo Hollywoodesco muito em breve... Não tenho dúvidas disso! Mas... nada voltará a ser igual.
Following this transition, Buckingham Palace will no longer comment on Harry and Meghan Markle. They'll have a completely separate communications team. The couple have recently moved from Canada to California with their 10-month-old son. They are now pursuing financial independence away from the Royal Family, which has so far seen Meghan doing the voice over for a Disney documentary - Elephant - which will debut on Disney+ on 4 April.
