The Duchess of Sussex made a surprise appearance at tonight's premiere of the new "Lion King" movie, in Leicester Square (London). Despite still being on maternity leave, following the birth of baby Archie, Meghan chose to attend the British premiere. The Lion King is one of the world's most beloved movies, who can blame her?
"The Lion King" has long been one of Harry’s favorite films, and Elton John even performed the film’s original signature song “Circle of Life” at the couple’s wedding reception at Windsor Castle.
The couple attended tonight’s premiere in support of Protect the Pride, a new global conservation campaign to raise awareness and support efforts to protect and recover the dwindling lion population across Africa. More than 50 percent of African lions have perished in the last 25 years due to poaching, destruction of environment, and other threats to the majestic animal.
Meghan looked absolutely stunning: she wore a stunning black Jason Wu dress with long sheer sleeves, Nikos Koulis earrings, and a Gucci Broadway clutch.
It was recently revealed that, alongside voicing Nala in the movie, Beyoncé has also produced an accompanying album called ´The Lion King: The Gift' album. So fans were understandably excited following this royalty meeting between Meghan and global superstar Beyoncé. After all, if you remember, during the singer's BRIT Awards acceptance speech earlier this year, she posed with husband Jay-Z in front of a regal portrait of the Duchess of Sussex. Two of the world’s most admired and iconic women finally together.
However, apparently it looked like a break in protocol, Beyonce leaned in to give Meghan a kiss and a hug - greeting her like they'd known each other for years. As we all know, hugging members of the royal family has long been frowned upon and has previously caused a number of upsets.
But the thing is... the internet seems to be giving more importance to Meghan's dress. And why? A lot of people are criticizing the Duchess choice, as she still has the pregnancy curves... The truth is that she's been under a lot of pressure since the first day after giving birth. First, at Windsor Castle on the day she presented Archie to the world, and after that it was on the baby christening day, during her two visits to Wimbledon and more recently on a polo match...
Does anyone understands how a new mother feels on the first months after giving birth? Does anyone imagine the extra pressure Meghan has? And why on earth the internet doesn't find more interesting to discuss Beyoncé's dress for this special occasion, meeting two members of the royal family?
I mean... Beyoncé may have wore the biggest leg slit the United Kingdom has already seen. The singer opted for a yellow gown with an asymmetrical neckline and one off-the-shoulder sleeve. The real show stopping feature of it, of course, was the leg slit, which really deserves a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. Oh and by the way... it's a dress by Cong Tri... And I know this isn't something unusual for Beyoncé... but I ask: was this approppriate? Well, maybe... I just still can't understand why the majority still criticizes Meghan.

Meghan surgiu absolutamente deslumbrante: ela usou um maravilhoso vestido preto de Jason Wu com mangas compridas transparentes, brincos de Nikos Koulis e uma lutch da Gucci Broadway.
Soube-se recentemente que, além de dar voz à personagem Nala no filme, Beyoncé também produziu um álbum chamado “The Lion King: The Gift”. Foi, portanto, compreensível o entusiasmo dos fãs após esta reunião da realeza entre Meghan e a super estrela global Beyoncé. Afinal, se bem se lembram, durante o discurso de aceitação do prémio nos BRIT Awards no início deste ano, Beyoncé posou com o marido Jay-Z à frente de um retrato da duquesa de Sussex. Duas das mulheres mais admiradas e icónicas do mundo estiveram finalmente juntas.
No entanto, aparentemente, parece ter havido uma quebra no protocolo: Beyoncé inclinou-se para dar um beijo e um abraço a Meghan - um cumprimento como se conhecessem há anos. Como todos sabemos, abraçar membros da família real tem sido um ato visto com desaprovação e já causou uma série de problemas.
Mas a verdadeira questão é esta... acima de tudo isto, a Internet parece estar a dar mais importância ao vestido de Meghan. E porquê? Muitas pessoas estão a criticar duramente a escolha da Duquesa, por ela ainda ter as curvas da gravidez... A verdade é que ela está sob muita pressão desde o primeiro dia após o parto. Primeiro, foi no Castelo de Windsor, no dia em que apresentou Archie ao mundo, e depois disso foi no dia do batizado do bebé, durante suas duas visitas a Wimbledon e, mais recentemente, numa partida de polo familiar...
Mas será que alguém compreende de facto como é que uma recém-mamã se sente nos primeiros meses após o parto? Alguém imagina a pressão extra que Meghan tem? E por que diabo a Internet (redes sociais) não acha mais interessante discutir o vestido de Beyoncé para esta ocasião tão especial - um encontro com dois membros da família real?
Quer dizer... a Beyoncé pode muito bem ter usado a maior racha que o Reino Unido já viu e mesmo assim é preferível criticar Meghan. A cantora optou por um vestido dourado com um decote assimétrico e sem um ombro. O que fez de facto parar o trânsito, foi claro, a racha que deixava vislumbrar a perna, e que realmente merece um lugar no Guinness Book of World Records. Ah, e a propósito... trata-se de um vestido de Cong Tri... E sim, eu sei que isto não é algo que não estejamos habituados a ver em Beyoncé... mas eu pergunto: seria mesmo o mais apropriado? Ok, talvez... mas eu continuo sem perceber porque é que a maioria ainda critica a Meghan.
